課程概述 |
The class will be conducted
in English. |
|
課程目標 |
This is an integrated
English course designed to
help students improve their
English proficiency in
reading, writing, listening,
and speaking. In addition,
students will be acquainted
with the English-speaking
culture through class
discussion of essays on a
range of topics. |

課程要求 |
1. This course is conducted
almost entirely in English.
You are invited to
participate actively in
class discussion.
2. Please read the texts
assigned to you before you
come to class.
3. Listening comprehension
practice will be done
regularly in class. All
reading materials will be
provided prior to class
discussion.
4. All students are to give
an oral presentation at
least once.
5. You are required to do in-
class essay writing. If you
fail to attend a writing
session, you must make up
the essay and hand it in
within a week.
6. You are also required to
read English newspaper
regularly and write your
opinions or feelings on the
news articles you have read
at least twice a week.
7. No mid-term or final exam
will be given. You will be
graded according to your
attendance, class
performance, and writing
exercises.
